On Saturday 25 October 2025, Bolesworth Castle lit up for a brilliant cause and we were proud to support it as a sponsor. Despite a gloomy weather forecast, the first Bolesworth Castle Dark Run saw an amazing community turnout and a fantastic fundraising result for Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith Children’s Hospices.
The Night in Numbers
A quick snapshot of the impact from the evening – from turnout to total raised – and a flavour of the fun on the route:
150 people registered, with around 125 runners braving the weather on the night
£3,000+ net raised for Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith
A family-friendly route, glowing foam wands, goody bags and glow-in-the-dark medals – all round smiles!
Why It Matters
Funds raised help Hope House & Tŷ Gobaith support local families with children living with life-threatening conditions. We’re honoured that our sponsorship helped the charity reach new supporters in an area where they’re less well known.
A Note From the Organisers
“The event was really well received and has raised just over £3,000, net profit. This is a great amount of money for a brand new event and has only been made possible due to the generosity of local businesses like yourselves… you have made this possible and we can’t thank you enough.”
Thank You
Huge thanks to the organisers, volunteers and everyone who ran, walked, cheered and donated. Community events like this only happen because people show up – rain or shine – and give what they can.
